Mindcrack Ultra Hardcore – S4E02: Armor Up
I hope you all enjoy Season 4 of the Mindcrack Ultra Hardcore series. This time we did a 4vs4 match, the original 4 vets versus us 4 new comers to the series. Each team starts on 1 of 2 islands, 800×800 in size, separated from each other by a large distance. In the middle of the 2 islands is another island with 2 victory monuments on it (1 for each team). The 2 islands were supposed to be identical, but afterwards we discovered some inconsistencies. There are 2 ways to win, kill or outlive the other team, or complete your victory monument. The victory monuments require all 16 colors of wool, an iron, gold, and diamond block, a melon, and a brewing stand. Each unique item you collect and place in the victory monument will reward your team with 1 gold ingot. The only way to recover health in this is with golden apples or instant health potions. Golden apples require a 8 gold ingots (instead of nuggets) and an apple to craft. Glistering Melons require 1 gold block (instead of 1 nugget) and a melon. Health does not recover from keeping your hunger bar full. Minecraft Essentials: Combat Tips – Critical Strike

This series is split to cover two detailed topics, helpful Minecraft Tricks and deadly Combat Tips. Your ability in combat can be vastly improved with a little bit of knowledge here and there. Knowledge of ‘Critical Strikes’ can greatly improve your ferocity in combat. A critical strike deals over double damage for most tools and weapons, and is performed by attacking whilst falling. In melee, a critical hit occurs when a player attacks a mob while falling. The attack deals 50% more (rounded down) plus one heart of damage. This can be done by jumping. It can also be combined with sprinting to knock back the mob, although there is no extra knockback for a critical hit. In an Abandoned Mine Shaft, a player may choose to jump into a cobweb. At the cost of mobility, the player will be granted a major damage increase, as cobwebs greatly extend the time the player falls. This same tactic can also be used when descending in water.

One week left to sign up for the mole!
So you have until 12am April 15th to sign up for Season 3 of the Mole. Get those applications in! We have had a ton of people signup to be on Season 3, but that doesn’t mean you are out of the running. It doesn’t matter if you applied once we started taking applications, or if you wait until the last minute. We will be going through all the applications at one time, and deciding who will be brought online for final interviews to determine our players for season 3.
