the advantage to taking no damage in the boss room is that the devil room is more likely to spawn

Quick tip with the ladder, you can stand on the ladder while its above a hole and enemies that use melee wont be able to reach you (to certain extent of course flying and shooting still do damage) just thought this might help you :D
