In the chicken farm, you should put upside-down half slabs where the water is dripping to stop it.

As always you have some of the most awesome building skills around. When using tnt make sure you are using red stone and pressure plates with it. That way you can detonate the tnt from a safe distance. You might also want to take a look at the equivalent exchange mod it makes clearing out land and even taking down mountains A LOT easier. I use it myself for my builds and i5 helps me out a lot. I hope this was helpful. Diamonds and hugs.
