I think regen might work like poison on undead mobs

On the side that allows the Pigmen to get hurt through the vines, just
lower the buttons onto the portal (the obsidian blocks) and thus you will
have 2 vines on each side slowing down the pigmen, witch should completely
remove all fall damage, and you only have to lower the buttons down onto
the portals :)
Like so Etho has a better chance of seeing this!

I think the pigmen take poison damage when you throw a regen potion

you could maybe use regen pots instead of poision, because they are undead.

The reason the baby pitman survive is because they are below the crusher
(it’s at head level).

Im @ around 12min, you can put the buttons on the obsidian, and have the
vines drop down by 2 :-)

28:00 why do you need a normal piston? the sticky piston will extend and
retract the redstone block?

Etho, with undead mobs like zombie pigmen potions are opposite so:
Regen = Poison
Poison = Regen
Instant Health = Instant Damage
Instant Damage = Instant Health
