Pattern 1, you could try upside down nether brick stairs in the place of sandstone slabs.

Either put a transparent block or move the repeaters to the same level as the pistons. Should fix it

you should put a fancy looking ‘E’ in the storage room. but not a bland simple E a fancy Medieval style. and if you have more room add a ‘L’ after it for the Lab part

u should do the creeper face above the entrance like the doors in your old world :)
