i think the ceiling looks amazing! but maybe put some glow stone every so often block to make it a tad lighter but it looks good as!

Mate, you could always do a trim of lava next to the fences, with glass on top, allthe way round

nc man for the glowstone u could put signs instead of trapdoors and the lighting u can make single chandeliers or 1 big :D

What about having a pillar of water? So if you don’t make it through the lillypad or miss completely, you will fall in the pillar.

I think the dark red doesn’t really go well with the light green floor, so it’s a little odd for me.
If it was up to me, I’d go for either a lighter color, or for putting a lava/water above glass to the center of the nether bricks.
Again, it is your world, and I am in no way a reference in aesthetics, but you asked for advices, so there is mine.
