The tree canopy is coming along well but i think you’ll need more free-form
and randomness to the shape to give it more realism :-)

Etho! This is fairly important! The villagers dissapearing is not a bug!
It’s a part of the new way villagers work in 1.8. In addition to farming
and trading, they will starve if they don’t get enough food. Since they
have no farms to live off, they die pretty quickly as long as they are
loaded. You should NEVER AGAIN make a villager farm with just doors
anymore, you need a proper farm big enough to feed the amount of villagers
you hold there! (1 bread per day)
