I figured it out.
Platinum is better than gold, seeing as a platinum pickaxe has 59% power and a gold pickaxe has 55% power. Gold does seem to spawn in place of platinum though, but you can get the other equivalents of the ores from the Extractinator.
That’s how I got all of those listed ores.

Gold does not spawn in place of platinum, that much I’m sure.
I have a world that has both Gold and Plat. ores in it which by rights should be impossible as during world gen only one is chosen, similar to how it’s either Iron or Lead in the world and not both.
