you got 100 meteorite ore, and done nothing with it, left it in the chest, and the others who have gold and ion armor start making meteorite armor, FOR THEM, with your ore, and you are still with copper armor… it just makes me angry

But you had set the hotkey to F right??
Try setting it to E instead..
it would make it easier for you and you won’t get comments like this saying you need to use the hotkey.
Plus. It can be really helpful because you can have your pickaxe/drill or sword at the same time :)

Paul, you don’t have to put things in your hand since Terraria 1.1, you can now use items from your inventory by pulling them out of the inventory window and left-clicking

You have a 50% chance to have a meteorite falling the next night after breaking a shadow orb, and a permanent 2% chance every night after you have broken your first shadow orb. But a meteorite won’t fall if there are too many meteorite bolcks on the world’s surface. ;)
