Fastest Elevator in Minecraft

NOTE: In Minecraft 1.1, you need to use open trapdoors instead of ladders (ladders no longer hold up minecarts) View: www.youtube.com —————————————————————————- There is a friendly competition of people claiming to have the fastest minecraft elevator, but this simple and easy to build minecart elevator is definitely the fastest… and it doesnt require a ton of redstone or pistons like the other designs out there. NOTE: As of snapshot update Jan, 2012, LADDERS CAN NO LONGER BE USED to hold up minecarts… Use OPEN TRAPDOORS. FYI: You can also use boats in place of the minecarts, but they’re more fragile, and I think the minecarts look better. :) This elevator will go from the bedrock floor to the sky ceiling in about 6 seconds, compared to piston elevators which take 12-13 seconds. XP Farm (tutorial) – Minecraft

Here is a tutorial how to build the Minecraft Mob XP Farm that I use in my let’s play series to collect xp. This xp farm has the following features: – Loot pusher to push all mob drops to you – Flip a switch to confine mobs to collect loot & xp, or to drop the mobs into a lava pit – a mob crusher with an adjustable time-delay (so you can ‘one-hit-kill’ them) I’ll show you how to build the different features into the xp farm and adjust them to fit your own mob spawner. like the time-delay on the mob crusher.
