Imo it’s fun to see you doing both exploring land & caving, but it would be
good to see you go to different planets as well, which given your current
system should be cheap (1 coal to travel between planets round the same
system). I also think you should maybe get some slightly better armour,
getting 1/2-shot by things could get a bit tedious :)

Do caving and exploring evenly like a 50 in both of them so like minecraft

Why does Etho have weak armor/weapon if he is up to diamond tier?

FOR COAL: run around the whole planet (will help with good exploring
videos) and on your way chop down every tree (10 wood=1coal sounds like a
lot but its really not) watch for surface chests (if you go at night use
torches or you wont see them)

I think you should keep exploring new worlds and upgrading your equipment.
And maybe play with some of the other mindcrackers with this game.

What does “new blueprints available” mean?

A couple of things that should help you play starbound:
1. You can right click with your pickaxe to mine the background. When you
mine the background underground, it both gives light and *drains water*(the water goes through the hole you make in the background, never to
return), down to a certain depth (pretty deep)
2. You should probably try out some other weapon types. Spears have the
highest dps for their tier of any weapon type in the game, but this raised
dps comes at the cost of a terrible swing animation. When you attack with a
spear, it hits a small area to the right or left of you: that’s it.
Hammers, on the other hand, for example, swing in a large arc from above
your head to slightly below you, hitting a thing in that area. With one
handed swords, you can equip two of them and attack twice as fast (or
something like that). Spears have the highest dps, but that doesn’t make
them the best. You should try some other weapon types out, and see what
works best for you.
3. When you reach a new world tier, upgrading your armor really helps
survivability. The monsters are all doing more damage (and taking less), so
you need new armor to be able to survive being hit harder. This *might*require a lot of caving, unfortunately, but caving is required to play
starbound.
Hope this helps! :)

I hope they add planets that are very rare to find, but they’re LOADED with
one type of ore.
Just imagine finding coal or diamonds with every step you take.

Expo leering
January 5th, 2014 at 8:24 AM
I understand you not doing it when you’re recording an episode, but you
should not ignore most ores, even if it’s a real pain to dig them out (I
also think digging at this stage is too a lot of the time)
They always find use for lower tier materials and you can always turn them
to pixels, and you can never have enough pixels. They are the thing I’m
always lacking the most. For instance not you need lots of iron to smelt
into steel, and you’ll need a top of it for the robot parts soon…

Etho i think you should do Exploration in one video then caving, like
alternating types of videos :D

Etho, scan the bombs in the ship’s tech device so you can print them!
