Personally, I think you should retire the good ol’ colony of Punchwood and
start season 2 (or Alpha 9) of RimWorld. If you think you can squeeze
another episode to start building/completing your hydroponics garden room,
go for it, but I’d love to see the new updates from your point of view
ASAP. Either way, I’m sure it’ll be fantastic nonetheless.

Don’t get rid of your colony! If anything switch back and forth new update
and old version! It’s like you get to know the characters so well!

I think I would like to see a new Alpha 9 colony. And again, turrets
explode in a 3-tile wide expolsion when they get damaged, so you DO NOT
want to bunch them with your colonists or other turrets because they will
obviously hurt your colonists and also chain-explode other turrets near
them.
So right now, if one of your turrets would get damaged enough, both will
explode, what could even kill colonists caught by both explosions. They
also don’t get cover when standing behind a turret I think.

paul all us rimworld fans love the series and the only complaint would be
that you don’t play it as often as stranded survival

Start a new series but Have the same back stories for every charter, so it
is like they paid someone to take them home but the ship crashed on to a
new world….

I’d be ok with either updating or continuing, but either way, I want to see
rimworld more often.
I saw someone else post that there’s a mod to preserve your characters.

Paul you’d rather send Wise out in the wilderness to have him slowly die
with gunshot wounds? Why not execute him to save him the pain? Like a dying
dog or something.

By default, Prisoners are NOT given medicine. You should’ve left the doctor
to do his work; all you would’ve lost was a few hours of his time. Your
medicine stock was safe. Also, grow some herbal meds and forbid your
regulars, so you’ll have some good stuff in case you need it. For a medical
bed, for example.

Just so you know paul, you *can* treat prisoners without using any meds, so
the only thing you use up would be foods to feed him, and the time it takes
your warden to reeducate him.
On the restart thing, I think I would like it if you use the ‘edb prepare
carefully’ mod to ‘move’ your starting colonists to your new colony. That
way, you get all the new stuff, but it’s not like you abandoned
everyone(sortof….). Like you made the ship, flew off, then crashed
again(obviously you are cursed with bad luck in space voyages.[that, or you
just suck at piloting])

I’d probably wait to start a new colony (and maybe play it one step above
the current difficulty if you feel up to it, I think they did make the game
a bit harder in general). Mostly to allow for bug fixes and a few more
minor updates, and maybe even for some mods to update (like the UI stuff
which is incredibly useful).
Like that they’re adding those sculptures with the story, very dwarf
fortress-y ;p

I vote for starting over. Maybe rename the starting characters in the new
colony to your favorites from your current colony.

Paul, why didn’t you see what Wise can/cannot do? He might’ve been useful,
you know.
