Good idea with the bottleneck at the swamp, I did something similar in a
swampy area. They get slowed quite a lot by it. I hauled some rocks around
there too. Just try not to provide the invaders any cover spots if you can.
I usually try to make a long wide corridor (like an equal sign) so they
have nothing to hide behind while they advance towards turrets and stuff.
Your spot looks pretty good though, one or a few might hide behind the wall
on the right side but if you have a turret to the left, that can probably
get a shot on anyone who does (if you build walls and not sandbags).

In order to talk to passing ships you need a comms device and another comms
transmitter and a stockpile next to the transmitter filled with your
resources as money

So, I know this game is an Alpha, and I am considering getting it, but, do
you have any idea if the graphics are final or if they are placeholder?

I haven’t experimented with this much yet and I don’t know what the best
way to deal with it is but you might want to store some batteries elsewhere
and disconnect them when they fill up. The reason for this is because if
one of the wires or batteries explodes (due to a fault, it’s one of the bad
“events” that occur) it will drain the power of ALL batteries that are
connected with the same power line or source. This can be very devastating.
I was making good progress on a store room for batteries (building a row of
them, charging up, then disconnecting from all power lines to have a
reserve if the connected ones happen to blow up) but one of the actual
batteries had a fault and blew up, and they weren’t spaced far enough so
the fire spread and sort of caused a chain reaction blowing up the entire
store room of batteries. That was the end of that, heh.
Either way, might be good to have a reserve of some batteries for when bad
things happen. Was also thinking that maybe splitting up the colony to be
powered by different things could help with that kind of issue (dorms by
solar panels, kitchen/crafting by a separate solar panel or turbines,
etc…)

Protip: build a perimeter of steel turrets surrounded by sandbags, and
NEVER allow a certain area’s power be cut off by a destroyed wire or an
eclipse. P.S. Try building a room full of batteries, each three spaces away
from each other.

I remember when you used to make minecraft videos
everyday…………..what happened to that paul I would come to and learn
from about minecraft……….what happened to you paul? Now I am not
saying you can’t play other games but please make more minecraft videos
again.

I really wish people would give a rest and stop requesting Minecraft. Yes,
I too want more Minecraft videos but having Paul play so many different and
awesome games is so refreshing. But I guess most of those who comment like
that are just little kids who got attached to the videos like to a toy.

That was intense. You probably overreacted a bit. The grenades seems as if
it does damage in a 3×3 square. You put them far off.

That 5 square away thing only works for “buildings” which include things
like heaters, coolers, turrets, etc.. So you should connect everything to
the grid. That battery by itself is being drained faster than the others
because it has no power supply.

i hope this will be answered , but i have i stupid question , on each game
i’m making , none of my colonists won’t grow anything , 1 has the ability
on 13 , prior on 2 , but he’s just standing there doing nothing , not even
something else , what am i doing wrong ? if i’m letting someone else doing
it , they also just stand there doing nothing , just standing , not
growing a thing , then , they die….. help ?

Since you added to your freezer remember to Extend your Storage{stockpile
zone} Space into that room otherwise that’s kinda worthless

Paul, I’m not a hater, I’m a fan… A fan of minecraft and you Paul. Now
I’m not saying that I don’t like your other gaming vids, but your last
minecraft vid was December 23, 2014! That was a month ago today. You were
the first channel I subscribed too. I was a subscriber since how to survive
your first night… The original video. You are the person who got me into
minecraft. The one who taught me what to when in a situation, because of
those vids… and I’m sure other people have done the same, you were the
first person to make minecraft vids. And right now, I need help with 1.8,
defeating the new boss. I need your help. I’m not asking other experts, I’m
asking you and you only. I need help with all the new blocks, I need
inspiration for builds, survival, and my vids. I want to be like you.
I want people who watch my vids to gain the knowledge that I gained from
you. You are the reason I wasn’t eaten on my first night. You are the
reason I’m one of the minecraft experts. I share my knowledge that gain
from you to the noobs so they don’t get eaten and so they can teach other
people and so on. I’m not saying you can’t play other games but I’m in
needing of inspiration. Please play more minecraft, it’s been a month sense
your last MC vid. Please help me Paul, I’m in grave danger, your my only
hope for survival.
