There are only 7 parts. 12 refers to the number of puzzles.

Hey JC, if you go to the website of the guy that made the maps (caretcaret[dot]se) it’ll say why they’re not made in the level editor :)

It’s been made using the Hammer Editor, you can do all sorts in it. Similar to the Source SDK if you’ve ever used that. People could make Portal levels before the editor came out with Hammer :)
