I’VE FIGURED IT OUT! It was those pesky spy chickens! They hired a creeper to do their dirty work. The chickens had it all planned out. They knew Paul was going to be mining that night so they thought of a plan. They would distract Paul with some lovely ores. The time came for the creeper to kill Paul.3 2 1 BOOM! thankfully Paul selected the blast just before it was to late!

It made a Redstone trap with TNT and stuff.
Then he came to pick up the evidence.
Then you saw him and he made a suicuse.
