Neat trick. Next, you need to make a 128 x 128 compact redstone machine
that does the exact same thing as this.

ou can also place a fence at head level, and then jump and then place a
redstone block against the frnce before you fall. your xray is better, but
you can use mine if you dont have a lot of ender pearls

You can also dig a two or three block deep hole, jump place a fence at your
feet, and then place the redstone block on the fence, which will be at your
head level.
