This is vanilla, Command Blocks are in Minecraft, and Command Blocks are with Minecraft.
MCEdit however, is a different story.

This is one of the most simple things ever. It is not a creation by you, because there are bound to be SO many people who have already done that. If you wanted a chance to be the first, at least do it as soon as 1.5 came out, and not just before 1.7 comes out. I could do a much better job at this, with only one command block and a clock. Also, try using /summon with the NBT dataTags, but since you think this is so difficult that you need to make a tutorial, you probably won’t understand them.

Vanilla is anything that does not need any modifications made to the minecraft.jar file to be used or to be created. Survival-able is when you can make it without mods or even creative mode. I hope this cleared up some stuff!
