@900duncans Sorry ur half wrong. Ladders are scheduled to regain their hitbox in 1.2 and the thing is you need a hitbox to hold the water you see.

i recently found this out. if u dont want any mobs to spawn on the spawner then put a half slab on it and they wont spawn on it. this way u can have a roof 3 blocks higher than the spawner and get a better spawn rate.

@RaidJaiMe1358 yes you do otherwise they wont spawn until night. But once they spawn you could take off the roof but youd just need to put it back on so..

Great tut, and I’ve implemented in my world. I made a minor tweak…instead of changing the floor (for some reason, it doesn’t always work), I have a sticky piston about four cells above and to one side of the landing zone w/ sign that blocks/allows a lava flow to burn mobs as they fall through. Also, glass slides over the lower opening so mobs can’t hurt me while I sit AFK in the corner to collect loots. Great start though, thanks.
