The red stone torch that is standing up on the bottom (2 blocks below and to the right of the first piston) is very bizarre, if it is not standing or if it is placed on the wall side, the piston will not retract again, I cannot figure out why this occurs.

Could you try and compact a design for me, it basically works in the same way as a room with more than switch that controls one light, if needed i could show you the design to give you an idea of how it works but i cant seem to figure out how to compact it
