Perhaps you could treat this base as a fixed home base. With a smaller
mobile ship for moving around with a portal on board..

i suggest looking into qCraft. Pretty easy teleportation of whole rooms.
Might be what u need for your base.

What if you keep wrenches and things availble to take down machines then
you can just have chests and when you park you can set up and go then when
youre ready to leave you can pack it into chests then take off

Hey dude, if you made it so that the cockpit wasnt quite attached you could
still make it look like you could fly the entire thing even though you
would only be able to fly a small little travel ship! Just thought this
might be easier than shrinking the entire base

DMAC or TFC’s base at spawn (or ask them) and use their capsule bed thing,
then you will be able to fly again =D
