I have an idea for placing the sky blocks in the void. Pour water down
over the edge of the end stone. That way, you have the blue back drop to
see the blocks as you place them.

How about a leap of faith to get into your nether base? Build a hallway you
can drop into surrounded and coated in those sky blocks so its completely
invisible. You walk to the end of your sky block path and just fall off
into what looks like nothing?

Is there no way to set up a pump in the nether, and send that lava to some
geothermal generators?
For the path though, I think maybe Bone Bleached stone would look ok.
Also, make an Ars Magica spell of projectile + light, and cast that around
to add additional light sources that don’t aren’t too intrusive.

Etho! Use a carpenters block and click it with wooden fence. Then, use a
stone block to click so that it has a stony texture! :)
