You can use normal glass for the machine frames.Later on you will need to
use hardened glass which may be dictionaried with some other glass.

Rapiers are good when a mob has armor and for striking fast, but any other
mob will get pretty much overkilled with a cleaver. It does a massive
amount damage when made with mannylin
