It is sort of but that would only be the cosmetic side of a map. What xisuma wants to do with this series is show you all the behind the scenes stuff that goes into making a working map. While asking for advice and feed back from the community.

essentially he is trying to create scenarios where players have a goal (generally to survive/kill the enemies)

By testing you mean that you will throw random people (like hermitcraft world tour) and they will try to glitch the map as much as possible and you find a solution. Right? Lol. But realy, you do need that.
