Creepers will still very much blow you up, though, even if you have cats, should your cats happen to lag behind you as you walk (which they do all the time).

You may want to tame cats of all three colours, since breeding will only give you one of the parents’ colour.

make lilpads invisible on your texture then have a have in your lab where you can “walk on water”

One practical use of lilly pads is building floating structures (such as ships) in the middle of an ocean – you can place a lilly pad on top of the water to use as a starting point, rather than having to pillar up from the sea floor.
