In 1.0 they brought down the time obsidian takes to mine from 15 seconds to 5 seconds

monsters dont need a 2×2 area to spawn, also mobs can spawn on track and not on slabs. The light wont go count of it is behind a slab

hooooly crap so there was definitely a creeper there right before you went back into your fenced in area around 7:45….scared the bajeezus out of me. and you didn’t even NOTICE. O_o
