I like the idea of a farm/plantation on the surface with a tech area
underground since that’s pretty much what I’m doing in my own 1.6.4 modded
game. :p I’d love to see how you’ll make the Growthcraft vineyards and hops
yards (that is the right name for them. Please don’t let people tell you
they’re called “hops vineyards”–the “vine” in vineyard means wine and is
pronounced like “vin”, not like “vine” as in the type of crawling plant. So
a farm for hops is just called a hops yard). Also you can make a magnum
torch from Extra Utilities to decrease spawning in your area–ask sl1p or
DMAC about that.
