New Year, is not a celebration I associate with fireworks. Until recent
years, I’d not heard of it being done, except for Chinese New Year. (which
is a different date anyway)
Fireworks are licensed to be sold for Chinese New Year, Guy Fawkes (or
“Bonfire Night”) and Diwali. I’m pretty sure you can’t get a license to
sell them for regular New Year. I’ve certainly never seen the usual
fireworks stockists selling around the holidays. For anything else, it’s
organised displays only.
I remember a number of displays for Y2K but, even then, we couldn’t buy and
set off our own. The last 4 or 5 years, I’ve been shocked to find people
are letting off fireworks on New Years eve. I presume they’ve saved them up
from the Nov 5th celebrations.
I’m not sure I like it, and blame globalised Americanisms like World of
Warcraft. XD

A tip that i dont know if you ate aware of: while in creative mode, if you
point with mouse and click the mouse wheel, you will have that block on
your hot bar.
