you also can put salt water in the furnace to make it regular water so you
don’t need to use the dirt proces

etho, in order to sleep over the night you should just dig down 30 blocks
or so and make a small room to put your bed in, then you should be able to
sleep without getting the “you may not sleep now, there are monsters
nearby” prompt.
