Try checking the Nether for your missing ships? I feel like that’s a good

I think the portals would be cool as quartz and then pour water over it to
make it like a wall of water. Not sure if that’s possible or not though.

I like the second one better, but you should add the radio to it too.
Also, you may need to have the chunk loaded on the Tropicraft side before
you go through, otherwise the ship gets sent through the portal and just
falls through the world because nothing is loaded.
Try placing a poppet shelf from witchery on top of your portal as a simple,
ghetto chunk loader and try it then. And It might help if the portal frame
is contained within a single chunk to make sure there isn’t a problem with
it only loading half the portal.
