hey paul get the crafting table 2 mod it just helps you creaft things heaps faster it shows what u can make and takes the items needed to make that item

I don’t know since which update, but the animals have got quite “a will to escape” from any compound which you build and enclose them. This applies to fences but also to e.g. 2 blocks high dirt walls.
Make a hole in the dirt wall (just one upper block) or place a block on the floor next to the wall (so you – and animals – can use it as stairs and jump out) and all the animals will head to your position and try to escape.
Also true for doors and fence gates.
Makes it a little bit more tricky.
