if they do add this i think it would be be cool/ interesting if there were
some limitations like blue light can only pass through blue glass or blue
light behind red glass gives purple
if they add coloured torches, i assume there would be crafting dye with the
torch/ stick/ charcoal

First of all, the tweets linked in the description have nothing to do with
colored lighting.
Secondly, the mog miner posted the colored lighting video months ago
(before 1.8) and it was just a test he played around with. There isn’t any
news on 1.9 yet.

Looks awesome. I think light shining through windows producing color would
be great. Along with colored torches. I see many so far are saying they
hate it. But heres something interesting… if you don’t like it then do’t
use it in game! Problem solved! There are some things I don’t care for in
MC like trading from the villagers, but I don’t complain and say it should
be removed or not added. Its a open ended game which means you can do
whatever you want or don’t want to.

Either we can dye lamps different colours, or when any ambient (torch,
lamp, g-stone, sun, etc.) shines through coloured glass that light is
shaded that stain.
