Just take the carpets off your holes on your course to avoid the confusion.
The items will still go into the hoppers without the carpet.

I suggest the following color-code for all the courses, for consistency:
dark green = hopper below, yellow (or orange?) = rough below.

On the first hole, Biffa should have gotten a penalty for going on top of
the barrier. Also a penalty for going out of bounds on Tango’s course. Also
on Etho’s for going on top of that barrier.
So, even though you thought you were even at the end, it was in fact Xisuma
who won, by 3.

for fuck sake I play a lot of golf and the way that you played this game
annoyed me so much. You don’t take shots in order (i.e. you, biffa, you,
biffa) You take shots depending on who is furthest away from the hole. This
especially angered me on Etho’s hole. Don’t be so ignorant and play golf
properly and stop ruining the proper etiquette.
