Oh and also, you don’t need to navigate to the end. Just put the wheat in and you can do the trade even with the raw chicken one showing.

My understanding of how the villagers work is that their “village” will shut down breeding for the 3 minutes if one of the villagers dies within 16 blocks of a player, not the center of the village or any other villager.
