You can destroy it with anything really, but that doesnt mean it will drop the spawner block.

i think it should take longer to break a spawner” it was actually very hard to break a spawner, to the point where if u mined obsidian with a diamond pickaxe, it would take that long to break the spawner with a stone pickaxe
