You should upgrade your drone system. The board drone complements your
strategy without risking crew members or you could use the two combat
drones at the same time to have more attack power.

Bording drones are nice because you can just have one extra crew member on
the enemy ship
And Hull repair drones are quite nice too

Boarding in the final battle CAN be a good strategy. You can teleport your
crew into the missiles to take them out first, and if you have full
sheilds, you don’t need to take out the other wepons.

For boarding in the final fight, you actually CAN do it. The trick is to
leave the guy in the center-left spot near the front alive. If you kill
them all off, the ship goes into auto mode where it automatically brings
it’s systems back on. The guy in that position has a somewhat harmless
weapon, and can’t tough your hull with 4 shield layers. Also, with his
position he can’t move and manually fix the systems.

Command and Conquer (Red Alert 2) is my favorite old-ish game! I’ve
probably scored 100+ hours on it (Its a lot when you’re 5 or so)

Hey Xisuma, I love these FTL videos. Even if you do make mistakes
sometimes, it’s nice to watch you learn, and I myself am learning quite a
bit about this game as I’ve never played it before! :)

Next run do you think you could do a cloaking strategy? I just unlocked the
cloaking ship (yay!) and I want to know how to use it.

I actually think boarding is nice in the last fight. You can put your crew
into their weapon systems right away and bring them down and they wont be
able to reach you in there (correct me if im totally wrong please.)
