What if you want the output to be in torches?
E.g. 10 torches, 1 push = 1 torch on etc.

@Minecraftaddict There are 10 types of people in the world, those who understand binary and those who don’t.

@EcrofLeinad Ya. I never could get the hang of binary. Sorry bout that.

@NeedForSpeedgamer24 Redstone operates in binary states (on or off) so if you are going to count something using redstone you are best off to do it in binary. How you use that capability is up to you; although, I do agree that alone it isn’t of much use beyond it’s novelty appeal.

@EcrofLeinad yeah, i noticed that too

@NeedForSpeedgamer24 In my case I needed something to count how many button pushes I make and then reset the lock if that’s not the right combo. TL/DR: To count shit.

Not sure if anyone has said this yet, but its a 1 tick pulse because as soon as the piston moves the block out of the way, the wire behind becomes unpowered since redstone dust wont become powered through a piston. If that makes sense.

@EcrofLeinad
It’s actually a bad redstone habit a lot of us have even if we know binary prior to ever touching the game. I always do redstone binary in reverse because I tend to build left to right like most players do.
