I dont understand why everyone loves diamonds so much…
You are never going to use a diamond tool/sword or armor without unbreaking
II or III on it. Diamond Armor are only good in PvP servers… so Iron
Armor is just fine.
So now we have Tools and Swords that use Diamonds… Bows are far more
useful than a Sword… So the ONLY thing you need tons of diamonds for are
diamond tools. A stack of diamonds is more than enough for a everyday
MineCrafter.

Finally someone who knows what they’re talking about. So many people make
videos saying skip two blocks so you don’t miss any, and I finally found
someone else who does the poke holes. So many people disregard that trick.
The only downside with that is you can’t pick up the cobblestone but it’s
not much of a waste.

I think you made a mistake. 1:54 “for every two blocks we will see 8″ -> I
think that should be 6
2:05 “for every 4 blocks you mine, you see 12″ -> that should be 8

y12 is the best evel, since the lava is below you and won’t flow towards
you.

While this video is great, isn’t it missing the final step? Blocks seen per
blocks mined isn’t the measure of efficiency. Blocks seen per second is.
It’s probably slower to turn and do the poke holes and then turn back to
continue the tunnel than it would be to just plow straight ahead. And is
that reduction in speed greater than the efficiency gain in blocks seen per
blocks mined?

it would make sense if diamonds were found near lava, the heat would melt
the carbon in stone and crystallise it into diamonds, rubies, sapphires,
emeralds and more gems.

Are you sure you’re not the math type? This is a mathmatical proof for
branch mining. I’m just looking and thinking, “I really HAVE been making
my tunnels wrong…,.”
