Automatic Damage Based Mob Item Sorting – Works in 1.0
It is now possible to passively seperate the drops from endermen, zombies, and creepers+skeletons by using their different health levels to kill them at different points in your mob system. this system uses minecarts, but the principles can be applied to other types of mob grinders. it is possible to add spiders to this system, they take damage from blocks beside them. passive mobs could also be included in a damage based setup, but their health is much lower. @drithius i just tested this out in 1.0 and i only had to replace the ‘timer cart’ track, the 8 tracks under the detector rails, and i also removed 1 floating block before the first crusher.. working good as new :)

i think this system is perfect
but now in minecraft 1.1 have a little error
cart will stock in water as piston do an error pushing
should change ladder to trapdoor can solve this error

@xWeeze the enderman don’t seem to be able to teleport out of the carts. i just updated the system and its working fine. link in the description :)

Red3yz (EPIC NAME), will The endermen will teleport away from the water? Plz reply (again) Is there any way to fix it?

@MalvinMahesa can’t use a waterbreak because of endermen but could use a ladder-brake. maybe use a syncronised piston window to let the light in so you can be sure the timings are the same. yeh the sunlight hing should work it’s just trying to get it fast/compact etc.. keep going :p

@sixes2006 yes in 1.1 that is the fix, but in 1.2 the ladders will get changed back to how they use to be. in snapshot 12w03a they have already been changed back. thanks :)

The track is completely broken now that glowstone was made transparent like glass :(
