I think that you probably got the Flare Gun from the Dungeon. It may be
from a Shadow Orb though, I don’t quite remember which.

Instead of wasting an accessory slot on the Mana Flower, you could set up a
hotkey for drinking mana potions. Of course, the Mana Flower has a slight
reduction to the mana cost of spells… But most of the time, it’s not
worth it.

Prepare yourself, wall of text incoming…
Etho (probably won’t see this, but oh well):
1. The Magnet Sphere is a VERY good weapon for your point in the game, you
just don’t know how it works. You shoot it, it will stay for 8 or so
seconds, and it will shoot beams at any enemies in a certain radius (I
think like 10 blocks or something). While it is out, you can also switch
and use weapons. Do not underestimate it.
2. If you are planning to make a good ranger set, the best set uses
shroomite bars (remember the autohammer truffle was selling?) not
chlorophyte.
3. The best mage armor is spectre armor, made of ectoplasme. Although it
looks very under-powered, the set bonus is the thing that makes it amazing.
It will heal you 8% of the total damage you do per hit against an enemy
when using magic weapons. Meaning if you damage someone for 100 damage
(which some of your weapons can do) you will get 8 health back almost
instantly. If you do say 500 damage per second, that’s 40 health per second
that you’re getting back.
4.Collect all the traps you see in the temple, because later when you get
to the pumpkin moon, and then later the frost moon, those will be one of
your main sources of damage (for the most part the spiky ball traps), those
and the nimbus rod… But even with two people, the Frost moon is
practically impossible to beat (past wave 15 or so) before morning unless
you have tons of those traps.
5. Although some people say it’s a waste of an accessory slot, I personally
always have the Mana Flower equipped as a mage, because a) it reduces mana
usage by 8%, and b) it uses mana potions automatically. And even if you say
that you can just bind the mana potion usage to a certain key, it makes it
so that you don’t need to be constantly worrying about your mana, and so
that you don’t need to take that one second to hit that key.
6. You’re going to want to find as many of those power cells as you can so
that you can farm the next boss (Golem). Go to the Lizarhd Alter and use
it, and it will spawn him. He has a multitude of fairly good drops, but
what you’re really going to want is the pick (best pickaxe in the game).
7. Lastly, I would just like to say that with any extra chlorophyte you
have, I suggest making them into bullets. I’m not going to tell you what it
does, because I want you to find out yourself. Believe me though, they’re
pretty sweet!
Other than that, i’ve been really enjoying this series. Keep it up Etho!
