I assumed the armor and inventory don’t affect speed as it doesn’t affect
the player but I thought that soul sand wouldn’t affect because horses run
in mud sometimes…

Did you test the speed of the horse while your head is in webs but the
horse itself isn’t?

The only thing I didn’t expect was for the ice to make the horse slower…

The ice one was quite surprising. However, is it possible to do the
ice-speedup trick a player does to go fast on ice? If you make a hallway
that’s 2×3 blocks, and put half-slabs (or other non-solid blocks) to make
it 2 high, then you ride the horse through it and spam jump, will it speed
up or down?

And also exp, there a a lot of things unknown about exp, what should you
put first in the anvil, what does anvil combining cost, what can you get
from different levels of enchanting, what is the ideal level for X
enchantment.
