Get a lightening rod plugin for a bukkit server, lightening hitting a
villager will make a witch and hitting a pig will create a pigman. I am not
sure if it works with the regular game code btw.

Myth- do cats purposely sit on chests? I’ve had my cat in game a couple
times run away and everytime I found it, it was on a chest. Is this luck or
intended?

Here is an idea how to do lightning test in VANILLA. Create a flat section
of land (using MCEdit to speed up the process), and cover it with 1×1 cages
using fences (it will look like a net). Place a mob into each 1×1 cage and
start the rain. The chances for lightning to hit the mobs are pretty big.
MCEdit will help.
Could you guys please hit the like so Xisuma can see that

I’m pretty sure you can find a mod which will produce a lightning depending
on which block are you looking at…

I don’t know if this deserves an episode but here you go:
Can you teleport (using commands ofc) while riding ,pigs, boats, minecarts
and when you do what happens to the mob/cart/boat.

maybe you could start a side project for a while, maybe to do with
efficiency (not the enchantment) – like the most efficient mob farming
techniques or something
I’d consider myself knowledgeable with minecraft, but i’ve only ever had it
on xbox, so if i ever want to test something for myself, it’s a really long
tedious process. so this series has helped me out a lot :) i’ve been
wanting to see a world with all the cobble dirt and gravel removed for
ages, so the recent episode was a treat too haha

Myth suggestion: Do ores spawn more frequently around Redstone ore?
March 31st, 2014 at 9:36 AM
Hey Xisuma, I’ve got a myth for you:
What is the probability of finding each ore (or you could pick a few, eg
diamond, emerald, lapis and gold) at each level(or again, you could pick
the best levels, I don’t know anything about them!)

All kind of effects (potions, fire, etz.) on mobs?
March 31st, 2014 at 9:37 AM
I found xisuma because of the myth busting series, and very glad I did.

This has been an amazing series with loads of great information. I’m glad
to hear it will still be around, specifically when updates roll out that
may change aspects of the game. Thanks so much for Minecraft Myth Busting!

How about, what is the best tool/eff to use on different blocks with the
use of haste beacon (either haste 1 or haste 2). Since some things the max
mining/breaking of blocks speed you get can be haste 1 with eff 3 on a
diamond tool sometimes. Whereas others are already instant break without
the use of haste (such as snow and a stone shovel (which you covered in a
previous myth busting).
That came up a few days ago with me and a friend about using a haste 2
beacon with cutting down trees with a diamond axe with eff (3-4) on it and
he felt haste only worked on mining.
And I still want to see some testing done with unbreaking 3 on armor cause
it really does seem to break almost as fast as without any unbreaking on
it.
