The new Minecraft snapshot added a “SuperFlat” world type, however it’ quickly gets covered with slimes and friendly mobs because it’s not covered with half-blocks / slabs. This obviously wont help much if you’re testing a mob-spawner design in a test world… So I’ve made a download file for this superflat map, but I’ve added a layer of half-blocks on the top. if you put generate structures on, then villages are generated

@monkeyfarm You could use Mycelium blocks do get rid of the problem with the slabs beings half height

i think i found either an easteregg or an error in world-gen: there is one smoothstone block right above the spawn at “normal” sea level :)

@daraboth2000 there’s no seed necessary. when you create a new world, click more options and select ‘superflat’ world type. that will give you the flat grass world. If you want the sandstone slab world, you can click the download link in the description.

@megahotshot97 you can add another sandstone slab on top of the ground (to make it a full block) then place redstone there. or break the existing slab and place any other full block in its place.

Below sea level or like in a normal world, you have bedrock under diamond level, the flat worlds are below diamond level

There are only 4 blocks because they wanted you to build higher, you can build higher in flat world.
