@AwesomenessFace Yes, yes I do understand the biology of farming, but what I do not get is how your supposed to get the water from the 3rd layer to the 2nd and 1st layer?

how are you supposed to replant the back? you cant reach

@CameronW996 You can walk on farmland (and crops, too). As long as you don’t jump on it it’ll stay tilled. And you could always carry a hoe on you in case you accidentally un-till the farmland.

@sirnemogold the water is for keeping the soil wet, crops need light to grow aswell, that’s where the torches come in place. Also torchs are stopping the vines from spreading to other blocks near them :)

does vine spread down?

I dont get it, some of my dirt blocks dosnt get any watersource on the 2nd layer.
And the 1st layer dosnt get any “streaming” water when I pull the lever, want are the torches for? Great tutorial but would you mind explaining what the things are for? Like “Put a water here becouse then blablabla will happend” etc. im very curious about how this works, I dont just want to copy paste it.

@xisumavoid How do you memorize stuff like that to such an extent that you can build it as much as you like? Do you just keep building it till its imprinted on your brain

Works perfectly for me! Built 5 levels and put some more torches inside!

Great video! Are you still thinking of having one of these in your lp?

Nice, I love how compact it is as always. The vertical stacking makes it nice for tight spaces, how ever I’ll be sticking with my large scale farms and micro bone meal feed wheat farm. Still a 10/10 however!

im going to make one with ladders on the side of the vines, so that people have no excuse for not refilling it
March 11th, 2012 at 9:48 AM
Although im pretty sure im just missing something obvious, but I cant put my finger on it.

One question which is probably a stupid question. Can you reach the blocks at the back from the vines? To replant the thing with seeds? Yeah, it’s almost defenitely stupid I know ;-p Anyway you’re the master of tutorials man! I love the simplicity and the easyness (?) of your builds! Everything is well explaned and step for step done! Also, those paused frames at the end are very helpfull! And of coures the resourcelist at the end is very good! Awesome great job man!
