@tucense There will always be a bud bug, because when a piston cannot push a line of block, and you change that line so it can push it, it’ll need an update, and that’s not gonna change or it would cause massive lag when using piston.

@tucense As of 1.1, melons and pumpkins do not have to grow on tilled ground. In other words, there is no tilling needed to grow melons, besides planting the original stem on tilled soil.

@meincraftbros
The melonfarm that monkeyfarm built is not automated. I want to build a farm where the actual growth of a new melon causes it’s own harvest, not a manual switch. I just built a smaller 20 block volume one, 2x2x5. I think its the best you can do without using BUD switches.. :/ I really don’t like using piston block update switches. They seem like an exploit of a bug that needs to be fixed, or will be fixed in the future.

You should make a compact automated melon/pumpkin farm. The best I can do right now is about 30 blocks of volume for only 1 melon.. It’s hard because you have to use a face of the melon for growth, another for redstone into the melon, another for detecting that input, and another face for pushing/removing the melon to a collection area.

is there somehow a way to overcome the 15 range limit for the blockswapper?
is there a modul for the “repeater” row?

@tucense Can’t remember his name at the moment but someone sent me a cool version using a BUD. Look in the gallery at the end of the new BUD section.

@tucense no need to make 30 blocks of volume, you don’t need a bud anymore lol. Go watch “monkeyfarm” ‘s lets play, he has nice melons (farms)
