You can use fertilizer pumps for that nasty water! They turn 2 blocks out
(all directions) into dirt, even water :)

give the geothermal generator a bit of breathing room or it may be liable
to blow up on you
good episode
as always

You can remove water with the fertilizer pump, it is however a slow,
annoying, and expensive process. The pump has to be placed on dry land and
will only terraform a 5×5 area with the pump at the center.

For the geothermal generator, the water is what’s preventing you from
building it. You should be able to place a fertilizer pump right next to
the water above the geyser and have it convert the water to soil. It worked
with marsh for me so it should hopefully work with plain water (you also
can’t build walls or floor on marsh).
The fertilizer pump is really slow though, it seems to convert the tiles
directly adjacent to it first, then diagonals in a 2×2 area around the pump
so just be aware of that when you place it (I’d do it one tile right and
two or three tiles up from the geyser, however far it goes I can’t tell).
Either way, it will convert the water but take a long time. Geothermal
power is worth it though especially considering it’s so close to you.

Someone probly mentioned this but, build floor. It cost little resources
and increases movementspeed. Pretty usefull for your cook for exampel who
runs back and forth between the fridge and the cooking table all the time.

You’re storing wood and rocks in half your freezer.

I love your videos Paul but where is Minecraft?

You need floors to build on swamp and water
January 22nd, 2015 at 8:05 AM
The pumps might fill the water with dirt so you might want to try that…
Once they are built it does take a while for the dirt to spread though just
FYI

Fertilizer Pumps do the job nicely. However they are really slow. They turn
anything around them into dirt. I think a maximum of 5×5 area (pump being
in the middle). So you’ll need a couple if you plan on making cable across
the swamp/water.

Paulsores how did u get this game i cant
January 22nd, 2015 at 8:26 AM
I’ve never played the game, but maybe putting floors over the water would
be cheaper than the pumps?

I found the pila to be REALLY good for hunting. It does take a while to
fire but when it hits it’s very likely to 1 hit kill whatever you are
hunting. It’s pretty powerful.

The pump could work but i havent tried it with water. Your people won’t
shoot each other unless one is 1-2 squares away from the other ones target.
You can release prisoners to raise their faction’s opinion of you so they
will stop attacking. All factions are not hostile after -20 except pirates
who are after 0. Every prisoner is +30 pts. Great vids :)
