I really love your videos Paul because you’re really calm, and quiet about
things. As other YouTubers are annoying, loud, overreacting, and have a
childish sense of humour. You Paul are a good example of a man who actually
works very hard on his videos and talks appropriately. Thanks for making
these videos, I’ve been watching for 3 years now! Keep up the good work and
ignore them haters.

Thank you for introducing me to this game. I saw your indie game test drive
and bought it immediately. Now I can’t play less than 3 hours.
Quick tip: The steel does not have to be in the stockpile for colonists to
use it for construction. It still is a good idea to have it there so you
know exactly how much you have but the colonists will grab it from anywhere
if you put a blueprint down.

Porthos isn’t getting recruited because he is below loyalty threshold. Your
going to have to keep him long term there until he reachs the loyalty
threshold. Then whenever a warden attempts to recruit him, it will give a
percent chance of recuiting him and they will continue until you recruit
him. Also if you click on porthos and select his prisoner tab, you should
see his recruit difficulty. The higher it is, the higher the loyalty
threshold and even after surpassing it, the lower percent chance of then
recruiting it, e.g. prisoner recruit difficulty = 99, then once you supass
the threshold, it will take a long time because of only getting 1% chance
to recruit the prisoner. (And it doesn’t work either like 100 – 99 = 1%,
it more complicated)

the recruitment difficulty means if you have a prisoner with 80 difficulty
(like porthos) at 100 mood he will have a 20% chance to join the colony.

Great to see more Rimworld as always ;]
Coming from Dwarf Fortress and a few other games that are much faster
paced, the lack of hauling can be very frustrating. I find that in Rimworld
I have to dedicate a few days specifically to hauling and just putting
stuff in stockpiles by putting it to priority level 1 otherwise the few
colonists you have are NEVER going to get to doing it.

This is honestly a really great series, Paul. And by the way, you didn’t
have a battery where the explosion happened. Was it because of conduit
running through the walls maybe?

Congrats on 1 mil Paul! Seems like you deserved that long ago!

Um.. Paul, is there a chance that you could give us some feedback on when
is Man vs Minecraft starting? I am still thinking about it and I’m sure
others are too. Thanks!

Just a tip in case you didn’t know: 1, 2, and 3 control the game speed if
you don’t want to have to use your mouse. 1 is normal speed 3 is the
fastest.

hi again paul!! here again with some more tips just for education put the
trade beacons in an area you plan to protect because i think during raids
they like to set fire to it :/ (really annoying) plus they didn’t out the
fire automatically probably because that area isn’t zoned as home ( also be
very careful with big fires they often prioritize a specific fire per
person even if they have to run through fire to out the fire 0.o) love this
series so much and hello people of the internet

Um Paul is it just me or is the second wind mill not on the grid???
January 13th, 2015 at 8:40 AM
rooms are too big, just put 2 people in the same room

Just some info concerning prisoner cabin fever:
You can deal with cabin fever by setting a no roof area somewhere in the
room. Sadly, it lets the cold/heat in and out and relies on the prisoner
walking under the open spot, but it does open to the sky.
Another option (usually more preferred if you have room) is to create two
prisoner rooms with a space outside somewhere between them, then just
assign the prisoner to the other bed so he/she has to travel outside to get
to it.
