This will not work anymore because they changed the material of glowstone back to glass, so it will not transmit the redstone signal any more.
But since the weekly build 12w07a there is a redstone-controlled light source.
It is just a glowstone, which will only lights if there is a active redstone signal.

@Furious1964 For the lighting, I guess it is. I still find it useful for redstone ideas in the first place because I’m just now starting to get the hang of these circuits. I never would have figured out retractable blocks in the first place without this video and a couple others he’s done.

Hey, I’m wondering if it’s possible that you can make the CNB Retractor smaller… you see i’m going to make a house with CNB Retactors but…. Anyway, good luck!
