Mobs On Demand (Q&A Follow-Up)
After my Mobs On Demand Mob Spawner tutorial video, I had a bunch of questions, mostly about the redstone, and that people had trouble getting mobs to spawn. In this video, I’ll give some more redstone tutorial info and how you can understand it better so you can build the spawner. Hey monkeyfarm.
I got three of my Piston rows to work but one of them doesn’t. You think you can show how you wired each of the sides of the mob spawner. Maybe just show each side of the mob spawner so i can just copy it. In your first two videos you only showed two sides and i figured out one but i can’t do the other. I’m almost positive i wired it wrong. The pistons are open but will not close when i pull the lever. Any help?

my problem is that i have to stay really close to the mobs in MP and this is annoying cuz i need to step away from my dropzone to aviod creepers blow my stuff up … are they gonna fix the hitrange in 1.2 ?

@monkeyfarm in 1.2 you will be able to build them up higher in the added 144 blocks and then there is no need to light up caves!

if you have a cow farm sheep farm etc. right beside the spawner will it effect the spawn rates for monsters

The reason I am asking is that when I look at the entity meter on f3 it shows E:20/423 when I look up at my spawner, (meaning that the direction I am looking in holds 20 out of the total 423 mobs in world) and I have explored a lot meaning a lot of friendly entities have spawned but can’t de-spawn ever since 1.0. I know that your five layer version gets like 60 so is it something else? I don’t know but thanks for the design :-)

@monkeyfarm should i do this one or the other waterless one since i have required components for this but i tough that waterless could be easier to make but if they chance that it doesnt work good so should i just build this?
