minecraft: seperate creepers skeletons and feathers
mob sorting filter system that leaves you with live creepers, live skeletons and a pile of feathers. automatic if you can make a good timer, and you can send the mobs/feathers to different places. not the smallest design but does the job. the skeleton filter was designed by BDtetra, the whole project was inspired by EthosLabs

check zirumsherotwr’s vid on how to build his new cannon, theres a really good, compact delay timer which fits like 2 seconds onto a really small area, and you could link them up for a delay timer. might have to make it quite long though, and use vertical space where possible

think fraps would be less ‘laggy’ for recording, you would just have to have an audio editor open to record your voice & add it at the right time to sync the video after recording

Now that you can separate the mobs, what about a machine that separates out cows/chickens/pigs. I tried making one and failed miserably.

@red3yz i made an array of 4 just now, which are like 7 blocks long each, and it gave me 14 seconds. it depends on how long you make them, and you can stack them vertically too. i suppose you could also use mcedit to copy and paste them if you want to save time. at the end, connect the output pulse to a tlipflop so that the state switches at dusk and dawn

@MrAdnan252
turns out items dissapear after exactly 5 minutes, so i can use just 4 dispensers + an RS-nor cuircuit or 2 dipensers with a latch circuit. much easier. 100% auto record factory +mob item delivery system being built now. thx for the comments.

@jvpernis1 That works for chickens because they float, but the others bob around in the water in basically the same fashion, making them difficult to distinguish them apart. The angry mob sorters rely on the different mob movement, but I can’t tell that there’s a difference in the passive mob movement.

and now you just jump in the middle of creepers and SHHHHHHHH BOOM! :D

Does it still work?

@robloxperson23,
In fact, this design does still work BUT i had to make one modification. i added one mobivator part in the beginning. they also burn slower, so make the tower bigger. if i make a video tutorial, i will send it to you.

@red3yz ah fair enough… ive started working on a REALLY long delay module, so far its given about 30 seconds. and im going to hook it up to a series of 4 tlipflops so i can make a 4 bit counter that counts every 30 seoncds which i will hook up to an 8 segment display…. and from that ill hopefully make a working minute clock that can count the time in smp

@red3yz Chickens are easy, but pigs are also difficult because they bounce around like cows and sheep.

@MrJuddernaught
cool keep on trying! should be possible except for sheep/cows, both 1.5 tall. to seperate pigs and chickens you can use an open door. probably end up with chickens all over the place tho!

@robloxperson23 i’m not sure, i havn’t tried any mob sorting for a long time. this design is old anyways, there are better creeper filters using pistons.

@MrAdnan252
cool sounds perfect, i will check it out. if it’s 2 seconds i will need 300 of them :(
can’t wait for the new delay blocks!

@MrJuddernaught what about the concept of a distillation tower? a distillation tower has different temperatures across the tower sloping from hot to cold. The gasses are released at the bottom and will rise. A gas with a high boiling temperature turn into a liquid again sooner than a gas with a low boiling temperature, which is used to separate the gasses. You can make an airtight canal tunnel thing with holes in the bottom where e.g. the cow will die and its loot will fall (excuse my English)
