So when do American children go to college? In the UK it’s like 17 we go to
college, so we wouldn’t exactly be leaving home then…

Ur sons name is jumbo?…

I honestly don’t like the happy face. Kids sometimes need to understand a
tough time so they can be prepared. it’s part of growing up and honestly
that’s what prepares u. Not reading a book or studying.Experience

Hey Paul, what was your source of income between losing your job and
youtube? You said you didn’t work since then but you didn’t start youtube
until 2010

I’m going to college in a few days so it’s cool you made a dorm room!

I loved this episode personally. Life advice is always great. Maybe it was
depressing but that IS life, it’s not always kittens and rainbows (unless
you spend all your time on youtube then it might be).
Anyway, I’m sure you’re a fantastic parent, probably better than most.
Don’t be too hard on yourself.

Great episode, Paul. I can’t imagine how you feel at the moment, not having
kids, but I appreciate it’s a massive change on top of wanting to make sure
you’ve done everything you could to set him on his way, on top of your
retrospection on whether you could have spent more time with him. It must
be the kind of thing that wakes you up at night – but with someone like you
as a father (at least, from what I’ve seen from you and your family in the
last several years), you’ve raised a strong, smart kid, and he’ll make you
proud in everything he does.
As long as he knows to visit as often as he can and call every week, and
knows you’re always gonna be there if he needs you, he’ll be fine.
